Season 2: Episode 2 Worldwide Pinhole Day

without comments

Hey, its that time of year again. Dust off your pinhole camera, or build one because World Wide Pinhole Day is this Sunday.

This year I am shooting with my trust Diana Multi Pinhole Operator. However I am starting to shoot with my new Darkroom in a box.

Are you shooting for Pinhole Day, and what are you shooting with?

Also enjoy a little video I did of my friend Jacie, as she made a pinhole out of a few dollar bills and then stuck them on the front of her DSLR, Results can be seen here.

The episode is a wee bit on the massive side, so it may not play in the above player, so I have uploaded it to Youtube here.

Season 2, Episode 1: We are Back and We Believe in Film and March of Film

without comments

It has been a long time since we have done one of these. The hosts got busy. Moved a few times. Talked about what was needed to bring it back, and then real life would rear its ugly head. But we are back. I shot this video last night to help a friend out with their project. They are getting together all the film photographers they can to post on YouTube why the #believeinfilm and I thought I would share with everyone why I #believeinfilm.

Also, I am the co-founder of an online project called the #MarchOfFilm. And I think it is going to be pretty awesome. Think of it as a Film photo scavenger hunt running the whole month of March. You should check it out over at http://marchoffilm.tumblr.com/.

Anywho, this is just a quick post to get back into the swing of things. expect more from us soon.

Minisode 3: Summer is here

without comments

Ok, lets retry the release of this episode.

This week, I decided to talk about something that made last summer extra special.

The Lomo Fisheye.

Well worth the cost, and if you get a bundle with the underwater case, then it is needed.

Episode 4: Spotlight on Rich Burroughs

with one comment

On this weeks episode I talk to Rich Burroughs about his work, what inspires him and why he shoots with Toy Cameras like his Holga.

Rich photographs a variety of things and believes that the Holga reignited his passion for photography.

Currently, he is working with a group of models illustrating the sensual side of Lo-Fi photography.

I would like to mention a very special thank you to Mr. Burroughs for agreeing to participate in this project. Every project needs a test subject, and Rich was kind enough to be the first.

Thank you.

with 2 comments

This is our first episode ever so be gentle on us. My co-host could not join me this week, so I decided I would talk about what has me really excited and that is the Worldwide Pinhole Day which is coming April 25th.

I review 2 books:

Build Fun Paper Cameras

Grab your film and start shooting. Expect a better episode from us next week.

In the meantime, I am looking for other photographers who would be interested in joining as a guest on the show. Hit me up via email Simon (at) simonponder.net or on twitter @lenire or @plasticimagery.
